COMMUNITY SAFETY

The Community Safety Unit forms part of the City of Vernon’s Protective Services team and includes two Community Safety Coordinators and over 50 RCMP volunteers that work within the associated programs.  The RCMP volunteers work under the direction and supervision of the Community Safety Coordinators in support of the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP.

For over 25 years, the RCMP Volunteer Program has helped to minimize the amount of crime occurring throughout our city by working work with the City of Vernon and North Okanagan Detachment of the RCMP.
